I have spent the last couple days exploring the hot deserts of Utah mostly in Arches National Park. Birds are somewhat scarce but we have seen many Black-throated Sparrows, a Black-tailed Gnatcatcher, and my first Canyon Wren after hearing this bird about 30 different times in the past. The landscape is very beautiful during the mornings and evenings and has been good for photography.

A desert canyon about an hour after sunrise.
After shooting the sunset I was driving out of the park and came upon this scene. These were the best clouds in the park this evening.
Pine Tree Arch. The sun really turns the rocks a nice red color during sunrise and sunset.

wonderful images!
Really great shots! The first and last one look like they could be postcards.
I have put Arches National Park on my bucket list. Your photos are so picture perfect like postcards in a five and dime store.

I really like the composition in these; I love this area. Wonderful post.
Beautiful country, and you've captured it well. The photos show a nice progression in changing light, and the composition in the last one is great!
Great pictures. I would frame the last and put it on my wall. Spectacular colour and composition.
Gorgeous! I love the framing. I love the layers of color. Outstanding.
Very good photo, well compost and good light. MB Now you have to show us more of the birds you seen.
