This Northern Saw-whet Owl was spotted by Rob at Eagle Creek Park today. There has been some white wash and pellets beneath a couple trees in the area, but this owl was not in one of those trees. which I have been checking recently. The owl had a mouse in its talons; saw-whets commonly roost with a mouse in their talons.
Unfortunately, there were no clear views of the owl so none of our shots have a clean view but here are a couple . . .

That is amazing! I have been looking for these guys in the park, and haven't had any luck. Great find!

Great picture! Where is the general area this little one was hiding out? I would love to see him before he/she is gone!
Thanks Brittany! Hope you got to go see this one!
The owl has been by the Skating Pond. It is in a cedar that is on the dike that separates the two ponds to the south of the main pond. Good luck!
Awesome! Thanks Rob! :) - Jeff
